Wisdom out of grief.

Recently I lost a family member.

The weird thing is...

All he ever wanted was for us to love and trust God. And now, somehow, after his death, my eyes are opening.

Here are a few insights from an email I sent to a loved one...

In the aftermath of this tragedy there are two things that I have
learned:

1. Everything happens for a reason.

2. Everything happens as it is supposed to.

The order of the universe and this world are not up to us. They're up to God.

It's terrible that this loss has had to teach me this, but I see many things about the nature of God, His care, and His love so much more clearly
now.

It's kept me out of a lot of stress already, over the past day or so. A few things that would have gotten to me otherwise have not, all because of the principles that I listed above. There's no point in freaking out over things when God has the final say in everything.

I strive to release the control over everything in my life to God, and it is bringing me peace. All we can do is put forth an honest effort in this life, and let the Lord take care of all the rest.
